When you use the Onboarding Checklist to recommend next actions to your users, the call to action phrases might not sound like a call to action. Suppose you track the action for creating a widget description as "created-widget-description" inside Intercom, Segment, and the like. Users may become confused as it could be interpreted to mean that the description has already been created. Instead, "Create a widget description" would be a much more user-friendly phrase and would clearly spell out what the end-user is required to do. Below is a guide on how to change the names of your actions inside Traitly
Visit Traitly.com and sign in to your account. When you are logged in, you will see a list on your left hand side of the page as seen in the image below, click on "Create Event Messages".
Once you click on it, you will arrive at a page showing your action messages. You need to scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "Event Data". Click on "here" as seen in the image below.
When you do so, you will be brought to the page listing all the actions available for your users to complete. Simply click on the desired action whose name you want to change and a window will appear named "Update Events" (see image below).
Note that it is not possible to change the "Name". You will need to change the "Display Name" which is the name of the action that will be visible for the users when they receive a message asking them to complete the action. When you are satisfied with the changed name, click on "Save Changes". Your users will now see updated "Display name".
