Once your Facebook or Twitter account(s) have been successfully linked to Traitly, you can set Traitly to automatically export segments of customers as ‘target audiences’ into these channels - that is, target audiences can be defined by Traitly on how likely a customer is to complete a goal. If you have not linked these accounts to Traitly, you can find a step-by-step Facebook guide here and a Twitter guide here.
This is very easy to set up, just follow the steps below:
If your Social Media channels have been linked, click on the Traitly Dashboard and choose a goal for which you want to activate your retargeting. The retargeting can be set up on a goal by goal basis.
Once you have clicked on a goal, scroll down to the Retargeting section.
Here, you will see a list of Social Media channels that you have connected to Traitly, along with the customer segments that can be exported as Target Audiences. The colored segments are ones that are actively being exported to the associated channel. The ‘grayed’ segments are not being actively being exported to the associated Social Media channel - the benefit here is that you can optimize your ad spend by only sending the targeted adverts to those depending on their chances of completing that goal.
Simply click on the Customer Segments that you wish to export - all customers contained in this segment will be exported as a list to Facebook to be to be targeted by specific adverts. Traitly will only export segments to Facebook and Twitter for customers assigned to goals for which you have configured the retargeting above.
